On May 23 2024, Ms. B. K. Aishwarya, Ist M. Phil trainee, conducted a Case Conference on Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD). Dr. Naveen Anand, Psychiatrist, Manasa Nursing Home, moderated the event. The conference was notable for its illustrative approach, which made complex concepts more accessible. The session was highly interactive, with active participation from trainees and Dr. Anand the Modrator.. Discussions covered the latest advancements and evidence-based practices in OCD treatment. Dr. Anand’s expertise enriched the session, offering practical insights and professional guidance. Attendees, including Sr Marie Evelyn, Mr. Rakshith, Ms. Vitika Jhingon, Ms.Sridevi R .G, Ms.Ananya S M., and M.Sc. Clinical Psychology students contributed to the lively discussions. A comprehensive two days Counselling and Neuro-linguistic Programming (NLP) workshop in Bengaluru, organized by the Manasa Educational Foundation for Mental Health, affiliated to BharatiyaVidyaBhavan, Bengaluru for all the MEF students as well as the Msc Psychology students on 25th and 26th May. The workshop was led by SMP Staney, a distinguished Counselor and Psychotherapist with 18 years of experience. Participants delved into key NLP techniques, including Anchoring, New Behavior Generation, the Swish Model and many more. Mr. Staney’s practical approach involved detailed demonstrations of each technique, aiding in real-time application. His clear, step-by-step guidance significantly enhanced the learning experience, equipping them with valuable knowledge directly applicable to mental health support.  Overall, the training was transformative and enriching, promising to enhance the mental health support services offered by our college.
